Tradenet Features and Benefits
TradeNet is Singapore’s National Single Window for trade declaration. It provides a single platform for Singapore’s trade and logistics community to fulfill all import, export and transhipment related regulatory requirements.
Key features of TradeNet include:
- Electronic exchange of trade information: TradeNet allows various parties from the public and private sectors to exchange trade information electronically.
- Monitoring of goods movement: Through TradeNet, Singapore Customs and other Competent Authorities monitor the movement of goods and enforce health, safety and other regulatory requirements.
- Reduction in cost and time: TradeNet reduces the cost and time to prepare, submit and process trade documents. It expedites the clearance of cargo and allows fees and taxes to be deducted electronically.
Benefits of using TradeNet:
- Efficiency: TradeNet integrates import, export and transhipment documentation processing procedures and enables the trade and logistics communities to fulfil their trade formalities.
- Convenience: Users can access services such as information and status of applications, permit listing service, and cargo clearance permit printout service.
- Unique Reference Number (URN): Each application submitted via TradeNet has a Unique Reference Number (URN) which is made up of 3 data elements: declarant entity identifier, date of creation and the sequence number. This URN is used in all subsequent references to the application.
TradeNet is available every day except for Sundays from 4am to 8am for system maintenance.
Tradenet Pricing
TradeNet's pricing details are as follows:
- One Time Account ID Registration for Non-Public Sector Users and VAS Providers: $50 per Account ID (one-time fee)
- Account ID Subscription for Non-Public Sector Users and VAS Providers: $20 per Account ID per Month
- User ID Subscription for Non-Public Sector Users: $20 per User ID per Month. Every user in the company will be paying for this monthly charge (There is a minimum subscription period of 6 months).
- Direct System-to-System Connection Subscription for Non-Public Sector Users and VAS Providers: $200 per connection [logical linkage] per Month
- Messaging fees: $0.20 per declaration (regardless of message size) OR $0.20 Per kb for interchange with > 1 declarations being submitted in the same interchange
- Processing fees: $1.98 per declaration (regardless of message size)
- Permit Statutory fees: $0.90 per declaration
- Cert Statutory fees: $4.00 per declaration
- RPNSG Competent Authority Permit Fees: $40 per RPNSG licence
- AED Competent Authority Permit Fees: $22 per AED licence
- LTA Competent Authority Permit Fees: $30 per compliant PAB or motorised PMD approved for import into Singapore, $90 per non-compliant PAB or motorised PMD approved for import into Singapore
- Additional Fees for Permit retrieval from archive [Self Retrieval request via Web portal]: $15 per permit retrieval

How To Open A Tradenet Account?
To open an account on tradenet.gov.sg, follow these steps:

Activate Customs Account: This service allows entities to activate their Customs Account so that they can transact with Singapore Customs. You can sign up to receive free notification alerts whenever permit applications containing your entity's Unique Entity Number (UEN) in the Importer/Exporter fields are approved by TradeNet®. You can also update or terminate your entity's Customs Account and your personal particulars via this service.

Apply for Declaring Agent Account: This service allows entities that have activated their Customs Account to apply for a Declaring Agent (DA) Account to submit permit applications using their TradeNet® User ID. Existing DAs can use this service to update their particulars, renew or terminate their DA Account.
Please note that only the following can log in to this service: a person who is a Key Personnel of the entity, and whose particulars are registered with a UEN Issuance Agency such as Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), Registry of Societies etc.; or an Authorised Personnel authorised by the Key Personnel of the entity.
Technical setup requirements: An Internet browser that supports 128-bit encryption, and has JavaScript enabled. This system requires either Internet Explorer version 11 and higher on Windows 10, latest Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome version.
Information/Documents Required to Activate / Update / Terminate Customs Account: Entity Particulars, Particulars of Primary Contact Person, Particulars of Secondary Contact Person, Particulars of person to receive notifications whenever there are any approved permit applications containing your entity's UEN in the importer/exporter fields, Particulars of Authorised Personnel whom the Key Personnel would like to authorise to access the Customs Account and Declaring Agent Account services.
